TELEGRAM
From the Officer Administering the Government of
Hongkong to the Secretary of State for the Colonies
(Received, Colonial Office,8.15 a.m. 7th May, 1912).
Enquiry has been made by the Unofficial
members of Legislative Council whether statements
in the Press to the effect that Great Britain On
condition that new territory is further extended will
recognise the Chinese Government are true.
